Catching Up

We’ve been hectically busy lately. Willie has started his new lecturing job. Willie’s parents have been down for a week. They are staying in ‘toti so we haven’t seen them much but we did spend the weekend with them. As usual we got a little spoilt.

They arrived on Friday afternoon and Willie was due back from JHB on friday evening so we made arrangements to meet with them once I have picked him up from the airport. We ended up going to Pavilion and having supper there. We took them back to toti and then came back home. Needless to say we were tired so pretty much went straight to bed. We then fetched them on Saturday and drove down to the south coast. While there we got a new camera. Willie’s last one was stolen in between the move and the staff we had so we (read I) were very excited. We got the Kodak C713 at a good price and a whole bunch of extras I also got the Jewellery Beading Kit that is advertised on TV. I have been having so much fun with it. I just wish I was a little more creative but I am stumbling through it. Having loads of fun so I guess that is a good thing. It has also made me want to do more scrapbooking again so I also want to get back to that.

On Sunday we went to their place for a braai. It was super nice to sped the day there looking at the sea and just relaxing. They had a pretty nice view and it was a beautiful day. We had a stunning weekend. We invited them over for supper last night seeing as they are going back to JHB on Friday morning. It was nice.

We’ve been struggling to get the grass to grow outside. Mostly because of the big trees outside the property that hang over and make shade for 80% of the day. Last week Tuesday we planted some grass seeds and hoped it would grow. i must be honest I didn’t think it would but I thought I’d give it a shot. Well, Monday morning I looked out the window and the grass was about 3cm’s long already. It’s still a bit patchy but it is definitely growing. How wow is that. Less than a week later it looks like we are actually going to have grass. I am very happy. When we planted the seeds we only did one half to test first. I think we can positively say that we can do the other half now. I can’t wait till we have a nice green lawn to relax on.
