Are you having a good week so far? Unfortunately, as predicted, I didn’t get the Tuesday Stamping done in time but I promise I am ready to go next week. Even though my routine is back to normal – or should be – I still feel a little disorganised. I hope by next week I will really be in the swing of things. Are you back at work yet? Do you feel organised and ready to go?
I have done cartoon nails once before and I think it might’ve been a bit better than this version but I actually kind of like the colour I used here. Let me show you.
I don’t think my border came out very well but the good news is I did freehand everything. Knowing my freehand skills I am aware it could look worse 😛 I started off with 2 coats of Tip Top – Cha cha cha and left that to dry completely. Once it was dry I used Sinful Colors – Black on black and a thin nail art brush to do the border around each nail. I then used the same thin brush, a dotting tool and Sinful Colors – Snow me white to make the highlight on each nail. I then topcoated with my regular topcoat and after a few minutes I topcoated with a matte topcoat. Like I said, I don’t think it is perfect but I really liked the colour of Cha cha cha.
Tip Top – Cha cha cha is one of my favourite polishes so of course, a swatch
Tip Top – Cha cha cha
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. It is a beautiful turquoise creme with a great formula and great opacity. If you don’t have this yet you HAVE to run out and get before they are all sold out and no longer stocked.
What do you think? Do you think it works in this colour? Can you look past the dodgy freehand border? I’d like to hear your opinion. Also, if you have done cartoon nails before I’d love to see them. Show me on Facebook, twitter or Instagram.
