It’s that time of the year where everyone is talking about the 31 day challenge. I didn’t do it last year and I regretted it so much. So here we go with the first day of the challenge. I will be keeping the posts short and simple. I hope you follow along for the ride and enjoy! x Also, happy weekend!
The 31 Day Challenge is usually done in September although you can do it any time of the year. If you want to find out more information you can find everything you need to know as well as the Inlinkz for the prompts here thanks to Cathy from More Nail Polish. Here are the prompts you can look forward to
The first prompt is red and I sure do like some red polish. I think that just plain red nails is so gorgeous and elegant on its own but of course, I wanted to do something I haven’t really done with red before. Let me show you what I did
I started with 2 coats of China Glaze – Minimalist momma (this is such a favourite for a ‘barely there nude’ for me. I use it SO much) and left that to dry completely. Once it was dry I stamped on the lacy pattern using Lina – License to be sexy 01 and Mundo de Unas – Black. I taped off a small section of the nail to expose the stamping and covered the rest with 2 coats of China Glae – Y’all red-y for this? making sure to remove the tape while the polish was still wet. I topcoated and that was that.
I liked how this looked on my nails and my only regret is that I am not sure if the image I stamped is lacy enough. The other side is that I do like the colour combination so even if it isn’t lacy enough it’s still striking. Right? 😉 What do you think?
