Hey hi hello,
Keeping it short and sweet on this weekend morning. I hope your weekend is going well so far. x
The 31 Day Challenge is usually done in September although you can do it any time of the year. If you want to find out more information you can find everything you need to know as well as the Inlinkz for the prompts here thanks to Cathy from More Nail Polish. Here are the prompts you can look forward to
These ‘inspired by’ prompts are really hard. It’s easy to find a great song, movie or colour but it is the interpreting to nail art that is hard. I tend to really push the limit to make the connections but whatever works right? For this prompt I had SO many amazing songs to choose from but in the end I went with this one.
I am a HUGE George Ezra fan and I have yet to find a song of his I don’t like. This one is so catchy and you can’t help but smile, sing along and move a little bit. Let me show you what I did,
I started with 2 coats of Essence – Absolutely blue on my pinky and index and 2 coats of Essence – Dare it nude on my middle and ring fingers. Once that was all dry I used a small piece of sponge and Essence – Wild white ways to sponge little white clouds on my pinky and index. This was to represent the blue sky and clouds behind the spinning platform in the video. On my middle and ring finger I stamped using Lina – Feeling shapely 01 and Mundo de Unas – Peace and Mundo de Unas – Pastel yellow. I had to layer these so that the colours looked weaved together just like it does on the floor of the yellow and green where time flies by 😉 I topcoated that voila!
I’m not really a fan of this. I feel like I could’ve done a much better job at interpreting a song and this was the easy way out. I also wish that I did the yellow and green lines closer to each other so that it looked more like the floor and more of it was visible. It was interesting it get the layered, ‘over and under’ pattern of the stripes. Anyway, I love the song and this prompt is done! What is your favourite song at the moment?
