Today is a public holiday which means it basically feels like Saturday. I hope you’re having a good week so far.
I had this idea in my head and it just couldn’t work out the way I thought it would. Has that ever happened to you? I tried it once and I really liked it but the one polish I used looked very brown. So I redid it using a different polish and it didn’t work as well with the flowers. So I am just going to show you both and you tell me which one you prefer? Or if I should’ve just canned it completely. Let’s go.
I started with 2 coats of China Glaze – Pixilated on my index and middle finger and 2 coats of Nubar – Prevail on my ring and pinky. While that was drying I started with the stamping. I stamped using Lina – Opposites attract 01 and Mundo de Unas – Black. I then coloured in the flowers using Nubar – Prevail and China Glaze – Baroque jungle for the leaves. I then applied these to the my index and middle nail topcoated and voila.
I really like this when I had it on my nails but the longer I looked at it the more brown Prevail started looking. I am not sure if it works for flowers even though it does make the flowers look better than the next option. Let me show you that one.
I started with China Glaze – Pixilated again on my index and middle and OPI – Grape, set..match on my ring finger and pinky. While that was drying I did the stamping again. I used the same plate and image and stamped with Mundo de Unas – Black. I then used OPI – grape, set…match to colour in the flowers and OPI – Gargantuan green grape for the leaves. I applied these to my index and middle finger, topcoated and tah-dah!
I definitely like the purple polish more but I don’t think the flowers look as good as the previous version. I don’t know if the shimmer distract too much from the flower. Am I just over analysing? Which one do you think works better?

I was kinda digging the “brown” and then I saw the purple… And brown can go take a flying leap! Purple is awesome!!!!

First of all, I love the design! I think I like the brown better than the purple because to me the shimmer in the purple is too much, but I think it would look even better if you had picked a slightly lighter color. Morgan Taylor – Rebel with a cause maybe?

Arrghhhh yes yes yes!! I am now considering redoing it AGAIN with rebel with a cause. I totally agree with you about the shimmer in the purple. I love the colour but it does the stamping no favours!
