Did I mention I like pink?

I am pretty sure I have mentioned how much I love pink right?

I don’t have tons of pink clothes and we don’t have any pink rooms in the house.  Oh hold on, our kitchen is black and white and there are a few pink bits in there but really just a few.  If you weren’t looking for it you probably wouldn’t even notice.  I do however have pink covers on my iPhone and iPad.  I have a pink drawer / holder set thingy on my desk.  Hubby bought me a gorgeous, big, fat piggy bank a while ago as well.  I have tons of pink bits and bobs.

My most favourite pink accessory though, is my hair!  Last year for my birthday hubby sent me off to have pink streaks put into my hair.  It turned into a mini disaster but the end result was amazing!  Unfortunately by end Novemeber-ish I had so much regrowth that it was looking horrible.  I didn’t want to go back to the same place and was holding out to do some research on which products to use.  I ended up taking the pink out.

My cousin Jamcj, who is a fabulous hair stylist in JHB, came to visit us for just a few days over Christmas.  She is so awesome and knows me so well that she gave me the perfect gift.  Pink hair!!  I opened my box and in it was my very own (big) bottle of pink colour, bowl and brush, gloves and shampoo and conditioner.  Isn’t she just awesome?  Of course I just couldn’t wait to get my hair pink again.  After all the festivities of Christmas day we got right into it.  Not long after I had pink hair.  We also had a pink shower, pink hands, pink clothes and even a pink spotted maltese..haha.  Most importantly, I had pink hair!!!!

With all the swimming we’ve been doing in the holidays I haven’t straightened my hair at all but I can say that the swimming has not affected the colour at all.  I already have regrowth and I can now do my own hair again.  I am a little nervous though.  Jamcj did such a fabulous job.  I know I can’t really mess it up but still.

 

I love that this time my hair is pink all over!  An interesting note.  I have found that men have no problem saying to me that they love my hair where women will stare, whisper and point when they think I am not looking or can’t see them.  Not all but it seems men are more vocal 😉
