Hi lovelies,
It’s the day before Christmas!! I just wanted to take the opportunity to wish you all a very merry and blessed Christmas! I will be taking a short break till the new year but I will be back with one post to share my New Years nails with you (with a review). Be safe, be loved!
It time for the Nail Anarchy challenge again. If you missed the first one or want to find out more about it then you can find the first post here.
We usually post on the last Friday of the month but because of it being Christmas and the theme being Christmas related we decided to post today. This month it was acidicice’s turn and she chose the theme….Christmas Tree. I won’t lie. I was actually quite nervous about it. I’ve done Christmas trees before but this is THE challenge! And you have seen who I am up against right? Nervous I tell you!
So I tried to think out of the box a bit. And this is what I came up with.
Let me just tell you I had the hardest time taking photos of this. The glitter drove my camera nuts! There’s a bit going on here so let me start at the beginning. I started with 2 coats of Nubar – Greener and left that to dry. I then added 1 coat of OPI – fresh frog of bel air. How stunning is that name? It is small green glitter with a few bigger silver hexes in a clear base. It was the perfect glitter to make the already sparkly green base even more glittery and christmas tree-ish. At least I thought so 😉 Once that had dried a bit I used Sinful Colors – Holiday rebel to add some red to the mix as well. While that was still a little wet I used loose, gold glitter stars and placed them in the tacky polish. I then topcoated everything, twice and called it a day. So basically, this is like a close up of a tree.
Do you think it works? Does it say Christmas Tree? I sure hope so because I know the other amazing ladies are going to knock it out of the park. Don’t forget to check them all out in the inlinkz thingum below.
Thanks for reading and a very merry Christmas to you and your loved ones.
