Hi lovelies,
Happy Friday! I’m out and about so I hope you have a fabulous weekend!
It’s time for the second prompt of week 2 for the #PPSANailChallenge and I am dead excited. You can probably guess why 😀 Today is ‘Pink”! This is another pinterest inspired look that I have been wanting to do for ages. I have put it off because a) I wan’t sure I would be able to pull it off and b) splatter. This is my second attempt at splatter and even though the result of the first attempt was gorgeous, the process was messy. I struggled a bit and made the biggest mess ever. This time went much better though. Let me show you
I was completely inspired by this post by ModNails. I went with a brighter, neon pink though. I started with gradients. On my index and ring I did a gradient using Sinful Colors – Snow me white and China Glaze – Bottoms up. On my middle I did a gradient using Essence – Black is back and Sinful Colors – Snow me white. On my pinky I did a gradient using Essence – Black is back and China Glaze – Bottoms up. Once all the gradients were completely I started with the splatter. On my index and ring I did the splatter using Essence – Black is back. On my pinky I did the splatter using Sinful Colors – Snow me white. On my middle I did the splatter using China Glaze – Bottoms up. I then topcoated everything and called it a day.
I am obsessed with how the pink looks on the black and white gradient on my middle nail. I also wish that neons were easier to photograph at their full neon-ness. I really loved this so much. I also did much better with the splatter this time and only had polish on my fingers and nowhere else.
What do you think? Do you think it works? Is this pink enough? Make sure to check out all the other pink entries using the InLinkz thingum below.
