31DC2015 Day 29: Inspired by the supernatural

It’s only Tuesday yet it feels like I’ve had a whole week already. I’m not sure if that is a good or a bad thing 😛

You can follow everyone taking part by using the #31DC2015. I am going to be keeping my posts short and sweet throughout the challenge so that it means more time to get cracking with the prompts 😉 Here are the prompts for this year.

I love the supernatural. Not only the tv series – #TeamDeam – but also anything ghost, ghoul, fairies and witches and and and and. So in a way it was a bit tough to choose something but luckily I have had this idea for a while. Let me show you what I did.

I started with a coat of Sinful Colors – Snow me white on all my nails. Once that was dry I sponged a gradient of China Glaze – Home sweet house music, China Glaze – Glow with the flow and China Glaze – PLUR-ple. I was going for a magical background – almost sunset like but magical. I then added a coat of INM northern lights (silver) over the gradient to give it a bit of extra sparkle. I then stamped the fairies in black. I wanted it to look like silhouettes. So I stamped all using W208 and MoYou stamping polish in black. I stamped the flower and mushroom and then the fairies as if they were sitting on them. On my middle nail I stamped the fairy house. When I stamped the fairies I wanted their wings to glow a little bit so their wings are stamped with China Glaze – Passion. I then topcoated and that was that.

I did take a photo of the gradient before the stamping. I loooooooved this gradient but somehow feel it was so much more magical in real life compared to the photo.
