Unzipped in a Hot Flash

Hello lovelies,

Woohoo for Friday.  Have you had a good week?  It’s been a really loooooong week and maybe even a little unproductive but it’s weekend in a few hours and that is all that matters right now.  A few of my friends have convinced me to start a 7 day detox thing from Monday.  Well they were friends.  After next week I might never talk to them again 😛  I’m going to be real, I’m afraid.  I might actually perish during this but if I don’t I am going to eat a whole slab of chocolate all by myself.  Maybe 2…..

I get inspired by other bloggers all the time and when I saw this post or this video by Cassis P I knew I had to do something similar. Especially since I have the Pueen Make Your Day stamping plate set.  So let me show you what I did.

I started with 2 coats of China Glaze – Hot flash and let that dry completely.  I then stamped a lace pattern from Pueen27 on all my nails with MoYou stamping polish in black.  I topcoated to make sure the stamping wasn’t compromised in any of the other steps.  Once that was completely dry I used tape to mark off the little sections and then used Sinful Colors – Black on black to paint the rest of my nails.  Once that was finally dry I stamped using Pueen109 and China Glaze – Passion to make the zips.  I didn’t make decals like in the inspiration but instead I used my clear stamper to place them in the right place.  Topcoated one last time and that was that.  I really like how it came out except my only complaint is that you can’t really see the lace on the exposed part of the nail.

What do you think?  I think the patterns and colours used by Cassis P are much more striking but it was really fun to do this.  I like it.  What about you?
