Hello lovelies,
Did you have a good weekend? The weather was absolutely beautiful and even though there were some ups and downs in my weekend, over all it was pretty good. I feel like I got a lot done and for bonus points, I am also starting to feel a lot better! Did you do anything fun?
It’s time for the next prompt in the #52weeknailchallenge from Polish Portfolio. This challenge is similar to the 31 Day challenge except this is one prompt for every week of the year. You can share yours on any day of the week as long as it falls within the week. Here is the list of prompts and you can use #52weeknailchallenge to keep track of any posts. I hope you’ll join in.
The prompt this week is stripes and I love stripes. It has definitely been too long since I’ve done some stripes so I was looking forward to this. Let me show you what I did.
On my middle and ring finger I started with 1 coat of Nubar – Oh baby pink and left that to dry completely. While that was happening I used 2 coats of Essence – Miracle stone on my index and 2 coats of Nubar – Noir on my pinky. I then did a stamping smoosh on my middle and ring using Nubar – Noir and Nubar – Oh baby pink. I added a coat of seche to dry completely before I got to work with the tape. I used strips of striping tape vertically at a slight angle on both nails and then added a coat of Essence – Miracle stone, making sure to remove the tape immediately after. I topcoated everything and that was that.
I really like the colour combination, especially the pink and black smoosh. Of course Miracle stone is just too stunning. What do you think? Does it work? Is the smoosh under the stripes too much? I liked it. I hope you do too.
Thanks for reading,
Joyce
