Polished Pretties monthly mani – Angela’s choice

Hello lovelies

I hope you’re having a great week so far. Mine seems to be flying by. Wasn’t it just Christmas holidays the other day and here we are getting closer to half way done with the year. It’s crazy!

It’s time for the next instalment of Polished Pretties Monthly Mani. The secret Santa girls group (affectionally known as Polished Pretties – mostly because of the facebook group of the same name) had a discussion one day about how the Friday Triad feature was born. So we came up with the idea of doing something similar. On the second Wednesday of every month one of us will choose something as inspiration. It can be any image and it can be interpreted in any way. The ladies involved are (linking to IG) Heather, Melliska, Thea, Angela, Juanita, BrigetRen and me. This month it was Angela doing the choosing and she came with all the sexy. Here is the pic she used as Inspo.

So basically red, black and lace. I looooove this and I had so many ideas! I finally settled on one and had so much fun doing it. Let me show you

I started with 2 coats of China Glaze – Cranberry splash on all my nails. While that was drying I started with the stamping. I stamped using Lina – License to be sexy 02 and Mundo de Unas – Black. I then used China Glaze – Fresher than my clique to fill in the part of the lace stamping. I then applied them on my middle and ring finger. I stamped the same image on my pinky and index using Mundo de Unas – Black. I topcoated and that was that.

China Glaze – Cranberry splash

This is 2 coats with no topcoat. This is a bright red with a gorgeous shimmer. This is absolutely gorgeous and this polish is alive thanks to the shimmer. Great formula and opacity.

I really loved this inspiration and I had so much fun doing this. I quite like the end result too. What do you think? Do you like lacy images? I can’t wait to see what the other ladies create and I’d love to know your ideas around this inspiration.
