Hey guys,
I hope you’ve had a fabulous Christmas week. It’s hard to keep track of what day of the week it is with all the holidaying happening over here 😉
It’s time for the last Friday Triad with Juanita and Joyce for this year!. So once a month we will make turns choosing someones nail art to use as inspiration for this post. You can look forward to these posts on the last Friday of each month. This month it was Joyce’s turn to choose and she chose this super fun and gorgeous design from Melissa from @melcisme. I really loved it the minute I saw it but I knew of course that I would have to change it up. I really love the orange but to make it a bit more seasonal for me, it couldn’t stay the same. I tossed between fruits but eventually knew what I wanted to do. Let me show you.
I started with 2 coats of OPI – Im sooo swamped on my pinky, 2 coats of OPI – Strawberry margarita on my index and 2 coats of OPI – Love.angel.music.baby on my ring and middle finger. While that was drying I started working on the watermelon. I stamped using Lina – Summer 01 and Mundo de Unas – Black. I isolated a single watermelon and using OPI – strawberry margarita and OPI – I’m sooo swamped to colour it in. I let that dry and stamped on my middle finger using Lina – Feeling shapely 01 and Mundo de Unas – White to stamp the lines on my middle finger and then added the watermelon on top of that. I topcoated everything and that was that.
I had so much doing this and I really liked how it turned out too. I knew the watermelon would be more summery but I really love the pumpkin too. I am definitely going to use that again for future pumpkin season. What do you think? I can’t wait to see what the other ladies created. Pop on over to Juanita and Joyce to see their creations!
Thanks for reading,
Joyce
I love it! It’s so happy and summer-y (not to mention the colors are spot-on and I definitely need those Feeling Shapely plates!!)
