Black gem

Hi lovelies,

It’s finally weekend!!! It’s been a bit of a long week but not a bad one.  Do you have anything fun coming up this weekend? 

One of the brands that I have been coveting quite a lot is Nubar.  I don’t know why they are so hard to find.  About a year ago Clicks told me they don’t stock the brand anymore.  A few months back I saw their leaflet with a big sale on Nubar.  Imagine my confusion.  I checked my store every chance I got and nothing so I decided to give them a call and see what they could help me with.  That didn’t help as 40 minutes later they said the leaflet is only to get rid of any stock they might have left as it is discontinued.  She mentioned there were maybe 2 – 5 bottles spread out across stores and that was it.  Imagine my surprise when I walked into my store 4 days later and find a little tray full of Nubar.  I scooped up as many as I could and boy am I glad I did.  I managed to get a few that were on my wishlist.  One of those being Gem.

Nubar – Gem

This is 3 thin coats with no topcoat.  It’s a little sheer but builds well.  I like the sheerness as it also means it is great for layering.  A really good formula.  This is like a greyish browny nude packed with holo shimmer.  It is sooooooooo stunning!!!  I can’t even deal.  Isn’t it gorgeous?

I had so many idea for this polish but I decided to pair it with black first.

On my pinky and ring I have 2 coats of Sinful Colors – Black on black.  On my middle and index is 3 coats of Nubar – Gem. Once it was all dry I stamped over Gem using Pueen24 and Essence stampy polish in black.  Topcoat everything and call it a day.  I love how the holo still shines under the stamping.  In the sunlight this was insane!
