Hi lovelies,
Happy Monday! It is just a few days away from Christmas. It doesn’t feel like it at all to me. I don’t know why this year just doesn’t feel festive at all. Either way, I am enjoying the holidays so far and I hope you are too!
I know Durban took a while to catch up to the summer train but it definitely isn’t winter and certainly no chance of snow. That doesn’t mean that I wouldn’t want to have a white christmas at least once though. To keep the dream alive, I did some wintery snowflakes nail art. Let me show you.
I started off with 2 coats of Sinful Colors – Matte about blue (which is so gorgeous, I have a swatch for you later) and left that to dry completely. Once it was dry I stamped the snowflakes using BM-H01 for the biggest snowflake and QA19 for the 2 smaller ones. I used Essence stampy polish in white and Tip Top – Armour plate to stamps with. I then topcoated it. Because Matte about blue dries matte I thought I would try it with a matte topcoat as well.
Even though Matte about blue dries matte I think adding a matte topcoat takes away some of it’s beauty. I do like the matte version as well though. Which one do you prefer?
Sinful Colors – Matte about blue
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. It’s a bright (royal) blue with a blue shimmer to it. It is absolutely stunning! With topcoat (as you can see in the above photos) it does make that shimmer shine. It has a good formula even though I was a little worried at first because the first coat was a little sheer. It definitely builds up well and in two coats is pure perfection.
What do you think of it? Do you want to have a white christmas or do you already?
Thanks for reading,

Love, love, love! I am just obsessed with snowflake nail art, especially stamped!
I’d sure enjoy a white christmas but I think we’re looking at a grey, wet and stormy one :’)

Perfection as usual 🙂

I prefer the shiny version. Despite liking matte polishes, I often prefer shiny over matte :S I also agree that putting a matte top coat over a matte polish does not look the same as the polish would without a/the top coat.
