Hi lovelies,
It’s finally Friday! It has been a long week so yay for Friday! It’s also Valentines day tomorrow. Do you have fun plans?
These are completely inspired by The Nail Polish Project. Ok maybe not inspired, I pretty much replicated it. I am obsessed with Jen and I pretty much want to copy everything she does. I have had this pinned for more than a year and when I asked in the Polished Pretties SA group on Facebook for some valentine inspiration, Sam shared it with me too. She also mentioned she really loved it so, Sam, for you……..
Let me start with my pinky, I started with 2 coats of Sinful Colors – Snow me white and when that was completely dry I used striping tape and China Glaze – Recycle to make the stripes. On my ring finger I started with 2 coats of OPI – If you moust you moust and when it was completely dry I stamped using BM317 and Essence stampy polish in white. On my middle finger I started with 2 coats of Sinful Colors – Snow me white and when it was completely dry I stamped using BM311 and OPI – If you moust you moust. On my index, I started with 2 coats of China Glaze – Recycle and when it was completely dry I used different sized dotting tools and starting with China Glaze – Something sweet and then Tip Top – Marshmallow bunny and then OPI – If you moust you moust I made the gradient dots. On my thumb, I started with 2 coats of Sinful Colors – Snow me white and when it was completely dry I stamped using BM323 and OPI – If you moust you moust. Then I topcoated everything.
Thanks to my ‘camera-hates-pink’ curse, the pink stamping looks a bit faded or washed out but wasn’t at all. The pink stamped beautifully and looks so gorgeous on the white. I really really loved this and it is impossible to choose a favourite nail. Thanks so much Jen for the inspiration (and Sam for finally getting me to do it). I also have a swatch for you.
OPI – If you moust you moust
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. It’s a beautiful pink creme with a dreamy formula and great opacity. This was also one of my first OPI’s.
Do you have a favourite nail? I made a pink version but what colour would you have used? Please share your V-day creations with me on FB, twitter or instagram, I would love to see. Have a lovely valentines day tomorrow. I hope your day is filled with love – and not just romantic love but all kinds of love and loved ones.
