Hi lovelies,
Did you have a good weekend? It’s been super hot the last few days. As soon as I think summer is waving us goodbye we get another super hot day to remind me she is sticking around for a while longer.
I don’t think I’ve done all that many watermarbles lately. The very first time I did a watermarble it came out perfectly. I was so stoked and thought I had conquered marbles for sure. Then I tried it the next time and it was horrific! Nothing worked. I just made a huge mess and couldn’t understand why I couldn’t get it right. Or even close to right. So I didn’t try watermarble very often unless I had to. I really love the look of watermarbles though so I am determined to try it more often and hopefully get better and better at it. We are getting to the end of summer too so I thought I would do a summery watermarble. Let’s see if I managed to do an ok job.
I started with a base of 1 coat of Sinful Colors – Snow me white on all my nails. Once that was completely dry I did my watermarble using Tip Top – Beach babe (blue) and Tip Top – Sherbet angel (pink). I did this on all my nails except the ring finger. On that finger I did a vertical gradient using the same colour. Once that was dry I stamped using Pueen62 and Essence stampy polish in white. Then I topcoated everything and breathed a sigh of relief. It’s not a perfect water marble and there is a giant ugly bubble on my middle finger but it’s been ages since I did one and it went so much better than the last time I tried it. In fact, it went so much better that I am determined to do it more often. I already have a few ideas lined up to try.
What do you think? Did I do ok on the marble? What do you think of the colour combo? Is it summery? Of course, I have some swatches too.
Tip Top – Beach babe
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. This is one of my favourite light blue polishes and it has a great formula and opacity. Love this polish.
Tip Top – Sherbet angel
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. I don’t even have to tell you how gorgeous this is. Great formula and fantastic opacity. Love love love.
Let me know what you think 😉 If you want to see any of these polishes compared let me know.
Thanks for reading,
Candice
