Happy Friday! Today is an awesome day. The weekend is a mere hours away but today is also a super special day. Let me tell you why.

Today is a super duper special day because one of my favourite people, my bok, my great friend and super crazy and talented Thea from Madness Nails is getting married. And getting married to a pretty awesome dude to boot. At 3pm today they say ‘I do’ and I know they’ve waited a really long time for this. I can’t be more excited and thrilled for them. Of course, as one does, I knew I had to try and do a little something just for the occasion. I rallied the troops – albeit a little short notice – and everyone jumped on board in an instant. So bok, this one is for you and your mister. I hope you have the most beautiful and special day and that it will only be an indication of all the amazing years you two will spend together. Love you guys!!

We all decided to do something either bridal / wedding / marriage themed or use their colour scheme. Or both. I must admit, I had a huge – but unfair – advantage here. I have seen the invitation, I have seen some decor AND I have seen the dress. I realise I had an advantage but I am still going to use every ounce of knowledge I have 😀 Ok let me show you,

Ok so obviously each nail has a story. I will start with my index. I started with 2 coats of Sinful Colors – Snow me white and when that was completely dry I stamped using China Glaze – Recycle and BM619. I then used BM314 and Essence stampy polish in black to stamp over that. This is inspired by the invitation. I won’t say much about it but I am sure you will see it soon once she does a whole post about her wedding (She better!!)

Onto the pinky. I started with 2 coats of Nubar – Silver mist and left that to dry completely. I then stamped using Pueen27 and Essence stampy polish in black. This is inspired by her dress. Which I will also not say anything about until she shows you.

Onto my ring finger. I started with 2 coats of Nubar – Silver mist and left that to dry completely. I then made the flower. I have been wanting to do one stroke flowers for the longest time but it seems acrylic paint is the way to go. I couldn’t find any in time so I ended having to do these with polish. They’re not perfect but I think they work 😀 I used Sinful Colors – Snow me white and Catrice – Will you berry me? (How cute and appropriate is the name of this polish 😉 ) with a brush to make the flower. Why a flower? Well, she has the most epic flowers I have ever seen! Again, you will see more when she shares all her photos but I love them so much.

Finally, the middle finger. I used Sinful Colors – Black on black and Catrice – Will you berry me? for the two colours. The white stamps is BM312 and Essence stampy polish in white. I then made white polka dots using Snow me white and a small dotting tool along the curve where the black and pink meets. I chose this for a few reasons. It kinda reminds me of the twinsie post the two of us did. We also both really like geometric nail art and even though this isn’t really very geometric it’s just different enough to depict it. And lastly, Thea and I are very different but also the same in many ways. Besides our differences, we go together really well, just like pink and black 😀

I topcoated everything and that was that!

Nubar – Silver mist

This is 2 coats with no topcoat. It’s a silver foil that wants to be a chrome. Actually it’s more chrome and it almost looks like it has some fine glitter in it. All I know is it is gorgeous and has a great formula! I suspect an awesome stamper here too.
