Hi lovelies,
I hope you had a lovely easter weekend and rest. Today is still a public holiday but boy did this weekend come at a good time. So good to just relax and take it easy.
When I heard Sorbet was coming out with a nail polish collection I was pretty excited. I really love almost every other Sorbet product out there so I was pretty sure the polish would be good too. Just before Christmas I was fighting the crowds in store when I noticed the Sorbet polishes on the shelf and I really loved the colours so much. I struggled to decide which ones to grab but then I noticed this box set. I did grab a few single colours too but this box set was a steal so there was no way I was leaving it behind. I paid R149 for it but I am not sure if that is regular price or if it was due to the Christmas season. Yes, that is how long it has been lying in my ‘to swatch’ bin. Let me just show you.
Sorbet – Deep sea
This is 3 coats with no topcoat. The formula on this one is good and slightly thin. Which makes the 3 coats a breeze. It is a little sheer on the first coat but as you can see it builds up well. I did have a few tiny bubbles on my pinky but I am not prepared to rule out environment or user issues. I really love this shade of blue too. It’s a very autumn / winter blue and I am sure I will be using it often.
Sorbet – Red light
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. It is such a gorgeous red creme you can’t help but love it. The bonus is that it is almost a one coater. The formula on this one is great and the opacity is great too. Once again I struggled with bubbles on this one and had to redo the swatch. I am sure it was me so any bubbles you see is totally me and not the polish. This one is my favourite. Stunning colour and opacity.
Sorbet – Chic me baby
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. I wasn’t sure if I would like the brown much (I mean really, how many browns do you need right?) but I was surprised by how much I actually did like it. It’s another great winter / autumn shade and even though on it’s own it might not be wow if you pair it well it could look gorgeous. I actually have an idea in mind for this one and I think it will look gorgeous. Anyway, really good formula and opacity.
Sorbet – Sparkling reverie
This one is a topper so I used it over all three of the others.
Deep sea
Red light
Chic me baby
Sparkling reverie is micro silver glitter with a bit of blue and holo micro glitter in a clear base. It is so much more gorgeous than it looks in the bottle. I think here it looks best over Deep sea and I am not sure if it really works so well on Chic me baby but this topper is one I think can be used for so much. It’s beautiful.
What do you think of this set? Do you have it? Which one is your favourite? I am really impressed with the Sorbet polishes and I also have 2 more to show you soon. Have you tried any of the Sorbet polishes?
Thanks for reading,
Siobhan

Great swatches and loved seeing the glitter on top of each of the colours! I kinda love the brown the most :O
