Comparison: China Glaze – Stone cold vs OPI – 4 in the morning

Hi lovelies,

How has your week been so far?  Phew mine has been a little busy but good busy.  Today the weather is also nice and cool which is awesome after yesterday being so hot.  

I just have about 2 or 3 of the ‘old’ comparisons to show you (those requested ages ago) but I also have a few newly requested ones.  I will try to do at least one a week so if you have anything you would like to see compared please give me a shout.  I promise you won’t be waiting forever 😉

When I got OPI – 4 in the morning I knew it was a matte black and I immediately wondered how similar it would be to China Glaze – Stone cold.  I knew Stone cold was more charcoal than black and has a shimmer but I wanted to see them compared anyway.  So I am showing you as well.  Just in case you were wondering if you needed both 😉

First let me show you

China Glaze – Stone cold

This is 2 coats with no topcoat.  It’s a charcoal grey matte with silver shimmer and I am obsessed.  I love it. I will admit, as soon as I swatched it I was convinced it wasn’t even close to 4 in the morning. But nevertheless, here is the comparison.

I have 2 coats of both with no topcoat.  OPI – 4 in the morning on my index and pinky.  It’s much more black with a very subtle shimmer.  Great formula on both and excellent coverage too.  I definitely think you need both.  Even though they are both matte and dark they are nothing alike.  Which I guess was pretty obvious just looking at the bottle right? 😉

What do you think?  Which one do you prefer?  I love both so I can’t pick one over the other.  Do you have any other comparisons you would like to see?  I do so enjoy doing comparison so hit me up if you have any requests!
