Hi lovelies,
Happy Monday (again)! I hope you had a fabulous weekend!
I have another Hean polish from Glamore Cosmetics to show you today. This is another one from the Wedding Garden collection and is also a new one. It is one of the new additions to the Wedding Garden collection. This is #636 – Stars in my eyes. It’s an interesting one so let me show you.
This is 3 coats with no topcoat. At first glance this looked like a slightly off white frost. I was a little concerned at first because I am not a fan of frosty polishes at all. Once I had it on my nails though I kinda fell in love. Yes, it is a bit frosty but it made the polish look like it had a gold / bronze shine to it at certain angles. In other angles it looked almost silvery. It is really gorgeous and even the husband commented on how pretty it was over breakfast one morning. It does look the tiniest bit brush stroky but it is a) barely noticeable in real life and b) it completely smoothes out with topcoat. The formula on this one was as fabulous as the others as well.
Of course, I did some nail art as well. I don’t know why but I immediately wanted to pair it with black and white. Unfortunately it didn’t work out as well as I had hoped so I went with this instead. I did run across an interesting ‘issue’ with this polish but I will tell you about it below.
I started with a base of Hean #636 – Stars in my eyes on all my nails. When that was dry I stamped on my index and middle using Essence stampy polish in black and alternating with Tip Top – Purple reign. Now here is where I came across an interesting issue. When I attempted the black and white combination I couldn’t get the black to show up completely black. It kept having a bronzy tinge to it. I then tried stamping with an actual bronze/gold colour and it didn’t even show up. I actually struggled to get some colours to show up when stamped on this polish, even though I know they stamp really well. This wasn’t a problem, it was just an interesting observation. Anyway, the stars are from Born pretty Store plate BP-L 006. On my pinky and index I used one coat of Funky Fingers – Teen spirit and then filled in any spots in the glitter with glitter from the brush. I ended up really liking the combination even if the stamped purple turned a slightly different shade of purple compared to the glitter.
What do you think? Is this polish also something you could fall in love with like I did? What do you think of the purple and black additions?
