Hi lovelies,
Happy Monday! Did you have a good weekend? I am quite excited about getting this week started. Let’s hope it treats us all well 🙂
Week 4 of the #PPSANailChallenge? How is that even possible? It feels like we just started the challenge yesterday! I have been loving all the interpretations of the prompts too. Here are the rest of the prompts so you can see what to expect.
Today is “Go wild with dots”. It seems simple enough right? Well as usual, I had WAY too many ideas. Until I spotted this post from So Nailicious. I knew I had to do this for 2 reasons, I absolutely love it and have put it off for long enough and 2, I got some new polishes recently that was perfect for this and a great excuse to use them as soon as possible. It also means swatches of course 😉
I started out with 2 coats of China Glaze – Five rules and left that to dry completely. I then used my biggest dotter to make the big green dot in different positions on each nail using China Glaze – Treble maker. Then I used a smaller dotting tool to make the different coloured ‘rings’ around the centre dot. After the green I used China Glaze – Home sweet house music and then China Glaze – Glow with the flow. Finally I ended with a row of dots using Sinful Colors – Snow me white. I topcoated everything and that was that. Pretty simple right? I am obsessed with the bright colours and of course polka dots are always a win.
What do you think? Do you think I came close to the original? Aren’t these colours gorgeous? Let me show you some swatches
China Glaze – Five rules
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. It is quite a different colour, a greyish beige / nude. The formula on this one is stunning and the opacity as well. It is almost a one coater which is a huge win for such a light colour. I really love this one. This one is from the “The Giver” collection.
China Glaze – Glow with the flow
Between my ‘my camera hates pink’ curse and the super neon of this pink, the photo does it no justice. This is much brighter but accurate in shade of pink. This is 2 coats with no topcoat. Great formula and opacity. I love that it doesn’t need undies and it went on smooth as well. This is from the ‘Electric nights’ collection.
China Glaze – Home sweet house music
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. This is an eye searing, yellow toned orange creme. Beautiful formula and great opacity. I am in love! This is also from the “Electric nights” collection.
China Glaze – Treble maker
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. I love love love this one. This is a neon minty green creme with a blue undertone. Stunning formula and opacity. The easiest 2 coats of the day! I adore this so much. This is also from the “Electric nights” collection.
I wanted to swatch the whole collection for you but I figured its a bit old news. They’ve been out for a while but only just available here. Do you want to see the rest in one post?
