Hi lovelies,
Double post day.
This is it! The very last prompt for this challenge. It’s done. Over. Finished. I am a little sad actually. It’s been fun and I am really looking forward to doing another challenge soon. If you want to still do this challenge or just want to see what the prompts are, here you go
So as you can see, today is ‘Needle’. All I will say is……thank you Thea! Thanks for NOTHING!!! Goodness I struggled with this one. Everyone makes needle drag or needle marble look SO easy but I am here to tell you the truth! It isn’t! Not even a little bit. I had this idea in mind and even though did do what I had in mind, I had a way more elaborate ‘design’ in mind for the needle marble. But it wasn’t that easy. So instead I settle for something a little more simple. Not without other problems though but let me show you…
I started with 2 coats of China Glaze – Intelligence, Integrity & courage on all my nails. On my index I did a little needle marble using China Glaze – UV meant to be. I made the three dots and dragged / marbled them into hearts. As you can see, they didn’t come out perfectly but they are there. On my middle nail I used Tip Top – Armour plate to freehand an actual needle. From there and cross my ring and pinky, I used China Glaze – UV meant to be to make a thread coming from the needle. Get it? Actual needle and thread? 😛 Topcoated everything and done. Ok so I am sure you can tell this didn’t come out that great. I think my biggest problem is that the colour combination didn’t come out that great. In the darker / natural light that I was in when I did it, the colours contrasted so well and the blue really stood out. In brighter light, like my photos, the blue kinda blended in with the grey too much. I hope that it is at least enough for you to see what I did. If not, thanks Thea! Thanks a lot! 😛
Don’t forget to have a look at all the other AMAZING needle manis using the InLinkz thingum below. They are amazing! I do have some swatches for you. Let me show you
China Glaze – Intelligence, Integrity & Courage
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. It’s a light, blue toned grey creme. Stunning formula and opacity. I really really like this colour. It might not be unique but it is beautiful. This is
China Glaze – UV meant to be
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. It’s a beautiful bright light blue creme. Formula is good and so is opacity. This is from the Electric Nights collection. I don’t think this colour is unique either but it’s a gorgeous colour and I don’t think you can ever have enough of it.
Please let me know if you would like to see any comparisons. I already have a few I think might be similar but if you want to see any let me know.
Thanks for reading,
