Did you have a good weekend? It has been incredibly cold here the last few days. As in icy cold. I can’t complain too much because I do love the cold but usually I would be snuggled under a blanky or something. Not this weekend though. Brrrrr. What did you get up to?
I mentioned last week that I was doing the Pick n Pay Women’s walk on Saturday. First of all, it was all about breast cancer. I feel quite strongly about support for anything about breast cancer but also cancer in general. I’m also really enjoying doing these walks. The crazy thing is if you had told me 6 months ago that I would be doing these walks and zumba and all that stuff I would’ve laughed in your face. Yet here I am. Thoroughly enjoying it and actively looking for more. Who am I!?!?!?!
Anyway, let me show you what I wore on my nails for the walk.
On my pinky and index I started with 2 coats of Color Club – Ultra violet. On my ring and middle I started with 1 coat of WoW #393. This was a gift from Thea in my Nail Anarchy Christmas in July box. I always question and drill her about it when she uses and she was amazing enough to add one to my box. I can tell you it’s a stunning black! Nice formula and super opaque. Thanks bok! Once this was all dry I went to work with stamping. On my pinky and index I used BM 321 for the ribbon image. I stamped the full nail image and then on the stamper I removed the rest of the image and only left one ribbon. I used MoYou stamping polish in black. On my ring and middle I stamped using Mundo de Unas – Tutti and BM321. This time using the full image. I thought this matched the Color Club – Ultra violet quite well. I then topcoated and viola.
My instinct was to go with pink but this polish has been calling out to me for ages. I thought it would be a nice change up to the usual. What do you think? Does it work?

Color Club – Ultra violet
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. Even though this bright purple is accurate, the shimmer in this polish is quite blue. I have no idea why my camera wouldn’t pick it up but I can tell you it is GORGEOUS!!! When I applied this my mouth literally hung open.

It was SO cold! It was also supposed to rain quite a bit so I decided to wear my shower cap. I had to at least give my hair a chance of staying half decent. Turns out wearing a shower cap is a great way of keeping the rain away. There wasn’t a drop of rain until I drove out of the parking lot. How awesome is that? It was still really cold though. It was so much fun spending time with friends and making new ones. We had so many laughs and giggles along the way. I think I might actually be a little obsessed with this. I need a way to find out about ANY walks happening in the area. Does anyone know how I can do this?
So that’s my crazy out of the way. I had SO much pink this weekend I am a happy girl!
