Hi lovelies,
I hope you had a fantastic week. It was a short week with the public holiday on Monday but mine has also been a bit busy. I am off for a weekend away with the girls as well so I am sure the weekend will fly by. Do you have any plans?
I did some really easy and simple nail art the other day. We went to a (VERY) early morning dance fitness class on the beach on Saturday morning. Well I assumed it was AT the beach but it turned out to be ON the beach. You guys, it was crazy. I had sand everywhere and it just carried on for days. It was crazy hard but the sunrise and view was breathtaking. Anyway, I was super surprised by the number the sand did on my polish. Granted I way more up close and personal with the sand than I would’ve wanted to be but I was still surprised. Let me show you what I did.
On my index and pinky I started with 2 coats of Wow – #393 and on my middle and ring I used 2 coats of China Glaze – Red-y to rave. Once that was all dry I added 1 coat of China Glaze – Let the beat drop on my index and pinky. I am obsessed with this glitter, especially over black. On my middle and ring I stamped using BM -701 and MoYou stamping polish in black. I then topcoated everything and that was that.
I loved how bright this was. I can feel the warmer weather creeping in every now and then so hopefully a neon every now and then will help BUT I still really love the cool nights and mornings. I also absolutely adore this glitter and I love the colour combination. I’ve been itching to use it since the minute I got and I just know I will be grabbing for it often. Unfortunately the swatch photos didn’t come out so well as I only realised afterwards that I bumped the goodness out of it before I took photos. I do have one swatch for you though.

This is 2 coats with no topcoat. It is a bright neon reddish orange. It’s really bright. I love it. The formula was great and I loved the opacity. Two coats was all I needed.
What do you think? I consider this to my ‘lazy’ nail art because it was so quick to do with almost no fuss at all. Yet it was very striking and eye catching. Is that glitter not gorgeous? Let me know what you think. Also, please let me know if you would like to see any comparisons. I haven’t done any comparisons in a while although I do have a few I am thinking of.
Thanks for reading,
Joyce
How come I’ve never seen that glitter over black before?!
I’ve seen it over white and light colors a lot but it never looked that interesting to me, but over black? Great!! *puts Let The Beat Drop on wishlist*
