Hi lovelies,
It’s Friday!! Yay for the weekend. It’s the last weekend of October which is a little scary for me but I am slowly getting used to the idea that the year is almost over and holidays are around the corner.
I was walking through Dischem the other day and while walking past the Essence stand I spotted some new polishes. I of course had to grab them immediately. They were effect nail polishes. I am not sure how new they are but they are definitely new to me. What really grabbed my eye was the ‘liquid foil’ sticker on the bottles. I did show you the original 2 here but these definitely looked different. Lady Mermaid and I don’t need money, honey were more foil finishes whereas these looked more like ‘liquid metal’ than foil. I had to have them of course. There was also a few ‘latex matt’ polishes but I just grabbed one. Let me start at the beginning.
Essence – Flashy wonderland
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. It’s a beautiful purple metallic. This close up it looks a teeny bit brush strokey but it wasn’t noticeable while I was wearing it. I do think a topcoat will fix that as well. The formula and opacity were great. This could be a one a coater. I really like this colour too.
Essence – Shine brighter
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. I love this gunmetal grey colour. Also a great formula and opacity and another one coater. This is sooooooo pretty!
Essence – The pink bang
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. This is obviously my favourite one. Fabulous opacity and formula and another one coater. I know you know what this means. Next Tuesday stamping material for sure! Seriously though, how beautiful is this colour?
The next one is the ‘latex matt’ that I picked up. They also had the white that I did not grab but I will definitely be going back to get it as well.
Essence – Styled for red carpet
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. It’s a beautiful red matte with a rubbery finish (almost more satin than straight matte). I wasn’t sure if I would love this one but I really do. The formula and opacity is great too. This is a red tone that I really like and I already have tons of ideas to use this one.
What do you think of these? Have you picked up any of them? Do you prefer the finish of the ‘original’ liquid foil or these? I like both but I definitely think they are different. I do love the colours of these as well. I hope you have a wonderful weekend. Those celebrating Halloween, have a blast!!
Thanks for reading,

I am super impressed with that red!
Would like to see a latex type yellow and pink too!

I know right! I am now sorry I didn’t take the white. How stunning would a yellow and pink be? Or even a blue!
Renita
please please can you use the liquid foils for stamping tuesday?

Consider it done 😉

I was going to ask if you could use the metallics for stamping… Renita just beat me to it 😉
They look great but it would be even better if they stamp too *keeps fingers crossed*

I am so glad we all had the same idea 😉 Consider it done and it will be up today.
