Catrice Lumination collection nail polishes

Hi lovelies,

It’s finally weekend.  It’s been a tough week.  How was yours been?  To be honest this rainy weather is starting to get to me.  My cousin Jamcj is melting in JHB and here it is raining.  I know we need the rain but can’t it just pour and pour for a day or two and then be over?  I am just bitter because I bought new swimwear and I swear the moment I got home with them the weather changed. I’ll stop whining now.  😉

When I saw the Catrice Lumination collection in store I was drawn in by the beautiful packaging.  I’ve seen some really great thing about this collection so when I saw it I knew I had to grab them and show you all the beauties.

Catrice – Cosmic pink

This is 2 coats with no topcoat.  Such a gorgeous pink with a beautiful shimmer.  The opacity on this one was pretty great too with a great formula.  I really like this colour!

Catrice – Interstellar

This is 2 coats with no topcoat. This is a bronzy gold packed with shimmer.  The opacity was nice but it was a little brush strokey.  I can say that a topcoat helped a lot with that and it isn’t nearly bad enough for me to slap a warning on it but you can see a bit of it on my index.  Love the colour though!

Catrice – Stargazer

This is 2 coats with no topcoat. This is a white toned gold with tons of shimmer. The opacity was good but not as great as the two above. Still good though.  Great formula.

I really love the metallicy, foily look of these 3 polishes. They are all really special!

Catrice – HoloGREYphic

This is a topper.  I tried to swatch it as is but after a few coats I realised I wasn’t going to get far.  I decided to use a base of Catrice – Will you berry me?.  On my pinky and ring finger I have no topper, on my middle finger I have 1 coat of Catrice – HoloGREYphic.  On my index I have 2 coats of Catrice – HoloGREYphic.  I think this is a a very pretty topper but it didn’t blow me away.  It is not a holographic topper even though the name might suggest it.  It’s pretty. Make of it what you will.

What do you think?  Have you grabbed anything from this collection? Polishes or makeup? It’s all really gorgeous.  I wouldn’t mind grabbing a few more goodies from this collection.  Which colour is your favourite?  Which ones would you like to grab?
