Hello lovelies,
What a week!!! Between starving with the cleanse and washing away in the rain I am doubly happy to see Friday show its face. How has your week been?
I have yet another stamping plate set to show you. Don’t worry though, I am at least half way through my stack of new plates. Getting there slowly but surely 😛 The set I am show you today is the Pueen Buffet Leisure set. It consists of 24 plates that are all ‘buffet’ style, meaning the whole plate is etched with image instead of individual ‘nail size’ images. This is especially handy if you struggle to get normal sized images to fit on your nails either length wise or width wise. I must say these have been on my wish list for the longest time. So let’s see if they were worth the wait.
As with the other Pueen set I showed you, this also arrived in a cute little box.
This also comes with a plate holder and the card with basic stamping guide.
And as always, comes with a blue protective film that needs to be removed before use. Now, onto the plates.
These patterns aren’t unique but they are stunning
I really like the dandelion type image at the bottom
I really like these patterns but it gets a bit lost on a shorter nail.
Stunning roses!
Strawberries for daaaaays!
I am a sucker for geometric images and these are stunning.
How cute are the little men at the bottom? It reminds me of gingerbread men.
I really like the bows so much!
The paperclip image at the top is super cute and the shells will be super handy for those seaside themes 😉
Well this is an interesting plate. It looks like a few obscure lines at first but if you look closer….well now.
I think the fish shaped fish word is so clever.
Love the circles and flowers.
This might be my favourite one. Flowers and leaves and and and.
This is So cute for birthdays! So many images to choose from
I am surprised by how much I like this plate. All I want to do is a summer fruit salad on my nails.
That shell image on the bottom left is to die for!
I love love love love the flowers on the top left. I used this plate here too and I really love how it came out.
I did some nail art using this set. Quite a few actually and most of them landed in the trash pile. I really LOVED this set when it came out but now I just really like it. I love the images and patterns but a lot of them are really busy. I was trying to do nail art over gradients and such it every time it was just too much. I LOVED what I ended up with though so let me show you.
I started with 2 coats of piCture pOlish – Obsession and left that to dry completely. I then used Pueen96 and Color Club – Eternal beauty to stamp the seashell type image on my nails. I then topcoated and called it a day while staring at my nails. While the lines of the image are really fine and thin and beautiful, it does make it a bit harder for my camera to really capture the beautiful holo of the stamping. But wait! I got a macro lens a while back and while I am still trying to figure out the ins and outs of it I did try to get a few snaps of this. Let me show you,
Theres a little hint of that rainbow….
I took a blurry snap so that you can also see how the holo is just jaw dropping! Not to mention that beautiful base of piCture pOlish – Obsession! Isn’t it just stunning? I do have a swatch for you but these photos above really give you a great idea of how stunning it really is. Let me show you
piCture pOlish – Obsession
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. It is a purple leaning red (you can see this red flash on my index finger in the second photo) with a beautiful purple / magenta shimmer. The shimmer isn’t super in your face once it dries but it gives this polish such an amazing finish. I want to say it has duochrome tendencies because i swear you can’t really pin down the colour. The formula was stunning and it applied beautifully. Obsession is my new obsession!
Ok, phew so much going on in this post! Firstly, what do you think of the plates? Which one is your favourite? Then, what do you think of Obsession and the nail art I did? I looooooved it. The holo just worked so beautifully with the polish. Ok now I have a question about my photos. I mentioned the macro lens. Do you want to see macro photos included in my posts? Just of glitter or shimmery polishes like these or every polish? Do you want to see macro shots of nail art? Let me know what you think and I’ll get cracking with figuring out the lens sitch. Hope you have a fabulous weekend!
Thanks for reading,
Juanita

OOOH! Plate 77 and the one with the citrus fruit are my favourites. I really like seeing macros of shimmery/holo polishes!
