Hello lovelies,
Happy Monday! Did you have a good weekend? Mine was a little lazy but quite productive. The next few weeks are going to be quite busy while I prep and sort things out for September. What did you get up to?
Today I have a collection from Dollish Polish to show you. I LOVE Dollish Polish. Not only are the polishes amazing and unique but the themes and names are the absolute best. It’s fandom heaven! I just love the quality of the polishes too. I have yet to find a Dollish Polish polish that isn’t fantastic quality. So today I am showing you the Epic Deaths collection. It definitely delivers!
Dollish Polish – a Crown for a king
Inspired by: Viserys Targaren from Game Of Thrones!
This is 2 coats with topcoat. This is a metallic gold packed with gold shimmer. I am not usually a fan of this tone of gold but with the shimmer it is absolutely beautiful and I can’t help but love it. Formula was great. I probably could’ve used another coat as I can see some VNL but this was not visible in real life. Applied like a dream too. I’m still getting the hang of my macro lens but I have some macro shots for you too.
This one isn’t colour accurate but it does show the beautiful shimmer in this polish
Dollish Polish – For whom the bell tolls
Inspired by: Gus Fring from Breaking Bad!
This is 2 coats with topcoat. This is a beautiful dark eggplant purple with a subtle red shimmer and copper multi chrome flakes. Formula and application were fabulous. I am utterly in love with this one as those flakes are so gorgeous I couldn’t keep my eyes off them. Here are a few macro’s to show you the true beauty of the flakes
In the first photo you can see the flakes are more copper and at a slightly different angle in the second photo you can see them shift to a more pink colour.
Dollish Polish – The only thing you can choose is what you’re risking it for
Inspired by: Hershel Greene from The Walking dead!
This is 2 coats with topcoat. I am in love with this one! This is a cream cruelly packed with multi chrome flakes that will take your breath away. I LOVE the combination of nude / cream base and these beautiful flakes that shift in colour from copper to pink to green with a few burgundy shades inbetween. This is possibly my favourite.
You can see the copper flakes towards the cuticle and hints of pink and green going towards the tip.
Dollish Polish – I am a leaf on the wind, watch how I soar.
Inspired by: Hoban “Wash” Washburne from Firefly!
This is 2 coats with topcoat. This is a creamy / nude crelly filled with multi coloured glitter in varying sizes. There are bronze / copper small and bigger glitter, small orange glitter, big and small yellow glitter, bigger dark green and lime green and turquoise glitter. Formula is fantastic and this applied so beautifully. I didn’t have to move any glitter around, it just applied perfectly. I wasn’t sure if I would like this combination but once I had it on I really enjoyed it.
Here you can see all the different sized and coloured glitter.
Dollish Polish – Sean Bean is his own spoiler alert.
Inspired by: Sean Bean from, well….almost every role he’s ever been in & died!
On my middle and ring I have 2 coats with topcoat. On my index I have 1 coat over Essence – a whisper of spring an on my pinky I have the same base with about half a coat. This is a such a glitter bomb that even one coat is a lot of glitter. This stunning glitter bomb has so many different colours. There is silver, gold, copper, purple, green, blue, black and even some orange. Application was good. On the nails where I am wearing the glitter on it’s own I had to be careful to not make the coats too thick. it isn’t necessary because this polish is so dense that even thin coats will leave you with a lot of glitter coverage. This is so easy to work with and the colours are so rich and beautiful. Also, is this not the best name of a polish EVER!! Some macros
The first photo is 2 coats on it’s own and the second photo is one coat over Essence – a whisper of spring.
Dollish Polish – We’ve all got light & dark inside us
Inspired by: Sirius Black from Harry Potter!
This is 3 coats with topcoat. This is a dark grey jelly packed with silver and grey micro glitter, larger hexes and blue flakes and some iridescent flakes as well. There is also some red micro glitter. This applied beautifully in 2 coats but I added a third just to be sure. I don’t think the third made a huge difference in the opacity. Fabulous formula. From this angle it looks almost like a galaxy in a bottle.
Here you can see all the different types and colours of the glitter. I think the combination is just beautiful
That’s that. Isn’t it just a beautiful collection? And how amazing are the inspirations. Ah man I just love the vision behind Dollish Polish. It’s SO fun epically well thought out. She is a wizard and I am obsessed. You should definitely keep an eye on her. Just a few days ago another amazing collection was released. But don’t worry, I have at least 3 more collections to show you. What do you think of these? Which one is your favourite?
