Essence The little x-mas factory trend collection

Hello lovelies,

It’s finally Friday!  Have you had a good week?  I feel a little better than I did the other day.  I don’t like it when I am a whiny baby so luckily I snapped out of that quickly 😛

Today I am showing you the christmas collection from Essence.  I loved the Christmas collection last year so I was really looking forward to getting my hands on them this year.  Did they disappoint or impress?  Let’s see.

Essence – I still believe in santa claus

This is 2 coats with no topcoat.  This is a ONE coater! It is a beautiful gold that is super opaque.  It looks a little brush stroke-ish but it didn’t look like that in real life.  This is a dreamy gold polish.  Fabulous formula and opacity.  It’s also a white toned gold which is my preferred shade of gold 😀 It’s a favourite!

Essence – Let’s take an elfie

This is 3 coats with no topcoat.  This is a beautiful colour.  It is a white packed with silver (and I think white) shimmer.  It really looks like snow on my nails.  My polish was quite thick which made it a bit harder to work with.  It is worth it for the pretty colour though.  I don’t know if it was just my bottle that was thick because I do suspect my bottle was opened (and probably tested) in store so it might be why.  If yours is also on the thicker side I would recommend doing one coat and giving it a bit of time to dry before doing another.  I will however be thining mine out.  It is a really pretty colour and I wish the photos could do it justice  It does dry a little matte so with topcoat I think it will really be shimmery.  I don’t know if I would were this on it’s own but as a base for nail art it would look stunning.  This collection also comes with gold nail art stickers and I think those over this polish would also look stunning!

Essence – Meet me under the mistletoe

This is 2 coats without topcoat.  This is a ONE coater.  It is a gorgeous dark green creme. I don’t really like blackened green polishes but this is very definitely green on the nail.  Stunning formula with a knockout opacity.  This is a proper christmas green! Love it!

Essence – Santa baby

This is 2 coats with no topcoat. This is a ONE coater! When I first saw images of the collection I thought this was a pink. It is a red creme but it definitely has pink tones.  It is a delicious colour  with a stunning formula.  I am not really a fan of red unless it’s a special red but this is a gorgeous red shade.

What do you think of this collection? I am in love with the colours and the opacity of the 3 one coaters.  They are so shiny too!  I like that the colours are more traditional christmas shades but not in a predictable way.  I know some of you are going to wonder how the stamp?  I will do a Tuesday Stamping post about them but as there is already another post before these it will be a while.  I don’t want you to miss out on being able to grab them before they sell out if you like how they stamp.  I did a quick and dirty stamping test with them on instagram if you want to have a look-see.  I do think you should grab them either way.  They’re really pretty!
