1000 Miles of stripes

See what I did there?  No?  Oh, might be a bit soon 😉

I have been wanting to try this for ages.  Since getting my hands on some L.A. Colors stripers I knew now was the time to try it. I didn’t take my lack of skills into consideration though.  Remember the time(s) I said that you won’t find anything perfect on this blog?  Well, today is a prime example of it. 😛

I started off with 2 coats of Essence – 1000 miles.  (Is it making sense yet?) and then with my black L.A. Colors striper I made lines horizontally across.  Starting with longer lines at the bottom of my nail I just made each line shorter the closer I got to the tips.  This way I ended up with stripes all the way up my nails (You’re getting it now aren’t you?  1000 miles of stripes?).

I really liked how this turned out even though it was nowhere near perfect.  In fact, I could get stripers in every single colour just to try this a hundred times over.  Can you imagine this in a dirty pink with white stripes?  Or even a minty green with white.  So many options!! I will just have ro practice a little bit more on those perfect stripes.  I guess you could you striping tape if you wanted to?   I also had the added hassle of my top coat dragging and smearing some of the lines.  If I waited a few more minutes I am sure it would’ve been fine though.
