This is another beauty that I received in my package from Tip Top Nails. This is Tip Top Confetti Glitter in Pat on the Black. It is another duo polish with black polish on one end and black and silver confetti glitter on the other end.
Application wise I used the same technique that I used with the Tip Top Sprinkle beads. I used a piece of paper to catch the excess glitter and then used the paper to decant it back into the container. This means you don’t waste any of the glitter.
I have to be honest, I didn’t think the confetti glitter would blow me away. I was worried that it would look messy. It looks quite sparkly in the bottle but I wasn’t sure if it would translate well to my nail. So I started with two coats of the black polish (over a basecoat). The polish on it’s own is a really pretty black with a super shiny finish – as I have come to expect from Tip Top. This is the black polish on it’s own.
The idea is to use the black polish and adding the glitter while it is still wet. It works perfectly well. I chose to use a clear topcoat that is not fast drying. After my black polish was dry I did one nail at a time and added the clear topcoat. Once the topcoat was on I sprinkled on the glitter. I then used a fan brush to gently brush off the excess glitter. It is glitter so it is much finer than the sprinkle beads and can tend to go all over. The trick is not to blow on it etc. Gently brushing it off or tapping against your finger.
I must apologise that it was a teeny bit messy in some parts but let me tell you, I loved how it turned! It is really so sparkly and gorgeous. In fact I think in a colour (not black) it would look even more exquisite. I don’t think these pictures do it any justice to be honest. I definitely proved wrong with the Confetti Glitter. Here are some more pictures to prove it.
Have a look at all the sparklies!!! *swoon*
I was really impressed with this gorgeous glitter. It was really easy to apply for a really pretty effect so absolutely worth it!

What do you think of the Confetti Glitter? Have you tried it yet? Do any of the colours appeal to you? I was really impressed and so glad I tried it out. I am already thinking of tons of ways to use it in future.
Thanks for reading.

I recently got the blue one in my winnings box from a giveaway and it is GORGEOUS!!! Considering how the black one turned out I can only imagine how beautiful the blue and red will be!

It looks really sparkly!
I don’t know if I’d use this. I’m partial to having a top coat over my polish and find texture a little bothersome. Perhaps I should try it, I might change my mind. I wouldn’t buy it just to try it though.

It is VERY sparkly! I am also very partial to having a topcoat (for obvious reasons) but I think for an occasion it would be worth the sacrifice. The texture didn’t bother me at all because it actually smoothed out quite quickly.

I had the same thought when I put it on!!! 😀
