I still feel like death warmed up but luckily I got some meds last night. Hopefully I will be right as rain soon. In the mean time, what better way to cheer me up than nail polish right? 😀
When I popped into Clicks the other day I noticed a new Sinful Colors display with some new shades of polish. The collection is called ‘Study in Style’ and I picked up 5 polishes from the collection. First of all, not all of these are exclusive to this collection. Some could be re-releases and some could be from the core collection. It usually works that way with these collections. I mentioned that I picked up 5 polishes but I am only showing you 4 here today. More on that later. Let’s get to the polish shall we.
Sinful Colors – Fig
Fig is a gorgeous deep purple. This is two coats with no topcoat. In the sun this polish has the most gorgeous shimmer. This looks very similar to a colour I mentioned just recently. It is a gorgeous shade for winter and this was a dream to apply as well.
Sinful Colors – Forget Now
This is the surprise for me. It looked pretty gorgeous in the bottle but once it was on it blew my mind in a silly way. This polish was more jelly like. Not only in the polish terminology kind of way but also in the edible dessert kind of way. It’s a deep pink with a shimmer that will blow your mind. It is packed with small micro glitter. This is two coats with no topcoat. There is some visible nail line (VNL) but with it being jelly I expected as much. I suspect a third coat might go some way to eliminating that. This looked amazing on. Just look at the bottle.
Isn’t that gorgeous? *swoon*
Sinful Colors – Winterberry
This. Is. Gorgeous! I almost feel like I don’t have to say anything about Winterberry. It is a purple toned grey polish with a gorgeous silver shimmer. This is two coats with no topcoat. Application was lovely. This polish really made me swoon. It is so gorgeous in its simplicity. I believe this shade is very popular and can be hard to come by at times so if you like this grab it as soon as you can. Just in case.
Sinful Colors – Pull Over
I know that very few people like a yellow polish and they are notorious for being difficult to work with. I wouldn’t say that I love yellow but I always find myself grabbing one from a collection. I guess I am on a quest to find the perfect yellow. I think I might just have found it here. I have already found my favourite neon (Sinful Color – Melon) and my favourite pastel (Sinful Colors – Unicorn) and this might just be the perfect bright yellow. (Yes, I do see the pattern) This is two coats with no topcoat. On the first coat I had NO streaking and NO problems at all. It was a bit sheer on the first coat and I was a little concerned at first but when I put on that second coat it was pure perfection. In the photos I can see a bit of nail line in a few spot so maybe it would need a thin third coat if you were that way inclined. I did not see this in real life though. If you love yellow or need a yellow I will highly recommend this one.
The 5th polish I picked up is Sinful Colors – Calypso. The reason why I am not showing it here is because I had the hardest time getting a decent photo of it. I didn’t realise until I went through the photos. If you remember I mentioned in another post about another polish I had the hardest time capturing? Calypso is almost the exact same shade as well. I know I am sounding a bit mysterious. Not on purpose. I will be comparing these two shades with those two shades really soon. In the process, I hope to get a good image of Calypso.
**I got these polishes at Clicks for R27.99 each**
Do any of these appeal to you? Which one do you like the most? It’s hard for me to choose because I like them all for different reasons. Ah the tough life of a polish addict 😉
Thanks for reading

No V!!!! You can’t be broken!!!! Do you need some help? 😛 I am surprised that you don’t like the purple. I think it is SO similar to the OPI purple you love.

I like the Winterberry and Forget Now. I might want to put undies on for Forget Now for the VNL though, personal choice. Might also make the pink POP more? It is beautiful though! The Winterberry is a lovely nude shade!
The Pull Over is a bit too yellow for me. I was hunting for a perfect pastel yellow (the only yellow I’ll consider wearing). I’ve recently purchased Revlon Sunshine Sparkle, which is a very pale yellow with a gold shimmer. I wasn’t looking for a shimmer, but that’s a bonus 😉
From the reviews I’ve read it is a NIGHTMARE to work with, but for 25 bucks I thought it worth a shot. Will probably put undies on for that too. Ideally I think I’d like to get the Sinful Colours Unicorn as that is a shade of yellow I’d be up for and it would likely be easier to work with than the Revlon one, based on reviews.

That forget now is gorgeous. I suspect a thin third coat will do the trick for that but yes undies will work as well. Winterberry….swoon!
I remember we spoke about the yellow before but I thought you were considering Unicorn. Another good one to consider is Tip Top Lemon Fuel. I used it again yesterday and was reminded how gorgeous it is and how easy to work with. I would highly recommend one of those two for a pastel yellow.

I must have Fig and Winterberry…Must!
