Hi Lovelies,
I was privileged enough to a guest post the other day for Kerry at Painted Fingertips. We bonded early on over textured polishes and I was thrilled when she started her own blog not long after. I knew I had to ask her to do a guest post for me. She didn’t waste any time to come up with something amazing. So over to Kerry.

Hi everyone!
I was extremely honoured when Michelle asked me to do a guest post for her. She has been blogging a lot longer than I have, but after she very kindly did a guest post for me recently she asked me to do one for her as well. She has really been kind and supportive since I started blogging. This is my first guest post so I had a tough time deciding what to do. However, doing this post makes me extremely happy so I decided to go with some really happy nails 🙂
After a coat of Sally Hansen White On, I sponged on a gradient using 5 colours, by far the most I’ve ever used for a gradient! I used the 5 colours of the Rimmel Cocktail Colour in a Flash range: Hawaiian Punch, Shirley Temple, Cutie Colada, Apple Berry Smoothie, and Baby Bellini. I love the sparkle that these polishes have and they go together perfectly. They’re quite sheer so I sponged on 3 coats. With more coats it would have been even brighter but I thought it was perfect for a rainbow. The one problem with these is they are a nightmare to clean up – all that sparkle really sticks to you! So sorry for my slightly messy cuticles!
Next I had to have some fun with the new stamping plates I recently got from the Born Pretty Store! I did all my stamping with Essence Stamp me! White. On my thumb, the image that inspired these nails: The rainbow from MLS301. The bird on my middle finger is also from MLS301. The butterflies on my index finger are from m78 and the one on my pinkie is from QA66. On my ring finger, I used a Bundle Monster plate, BM-312. So we have clouds which have given way to a rainbow, and birds and butterflies enjoying the beautiful day!
I almost stopped at this point, but then I decided to see how it would look mattified… and I LOVED it! You can still see the sparkle of the polishes, but it gives everything a softer look.
Thank you so, so much Michelle for having me on your blog today! I hope you all enjoyed what I created for you 🙂

Isn’t it beautiful? I absolutely love the gradient and stamping. Doesn’t the stamping just pop with the matte topcoat?
What do you think of the rainbow gradient and stamping? Thank you so much Kerry for such a beautiful guest post. It was a privilege to have you.
Thanks for reading!

RAINBOW AMAZINGNESS! The matte! Oh the matte! Gorgeous! Don’t like the glossy one as the matte gives it something extra!

That matte version is just so special. The stamping looks amazing on that! Like it just stands out.
