Hi lovelies,
Are you having a good week so far? It has been so hot here lately and to make matters worse I am feeling a little under the weather. Worst time ever to have fever.
I have had Revlon – Facets of Fuchsia for a while now. I picked it up in a Clicks sale and only because it immediately grabbed my eye. I immediately told acidicice about it and she managed to find something in her sale bin that was quite similar. She has Revlon – Scandalous. You can have a look at her post here and you will be able to tell that it isn’t exactly the same although it looks very similar in the bottle. I am indeed happy that I have Facets of Fuchsia though.
Revlon – Facets of Fuchsia
This is 3 thin coats with no topcoat. It is blackened jelly base with micro and larger hex glitter in purple – more so than fuchsia. It does dry a little uneven (which you can see here) but with a topcoat it really shines. How gorgeous is that? Gosh I don’t know why it has taken so long to use this. Here is what it looks like in the bottle.
I decided to pair it with some studs.
I used two coats of Sinful Colors – Black on black on my pinky and index. I have 3 coats of Revlon – Facets of Fuchsia with topcoat on my ring, middle and thumb. I then used some of my round neon studs from BornPrettyStore in a row over the black. I originally started with just one stud near the cuticle but after chatting to acidicice I decided to make the row. I wish I had decided that from the beginning as I then would’ve started the row closer to my cuticles. I also ended up putting topcoat over the studs and next time I definitely won’t. I think it looks quite nice without the topcoat. (Please excuse the overlapping stud on the tip of my pinky. I didn’t notice it had moved until later and at that point it wasn’t moving for love or money)
What do you think? Do you also think Facets of Fuchsia is just too gorgeous for words?
Thanks for reading!

Ah thank you so much Charlene. You have no idea how much that means to me! xxx
Ah such a pity! It is SO gorgeous. I do think Scandalous is close enough though. Definitely worth it.

I wish you had Scandalous for a comparison. Tell you what…I’ll recreation this look and then we can compare. It is in my queue though. I have like two other manis *someone* wanted me to do ;P

Super deeee duper pretty, I love this mani! I own Scandalous and don’t wear it nearly as often as I should… I reserve my darker polishes for Autumn and Winter though, I’m too OCD to be mixing dark polishes with my pastel and bright polishes in the hot months! haha!

Thank you so much!!
Hahaha I am super OCD in general *except* when it comes to which colours I wear on my nails. I love wearing the brights in winter (everyone needs a mood lifter) 😉 But I think I am in the minority when it comes to that so I completely get it 🙂
