Hi lovelies,
Las week the hubband and I went to the movies for the first time in years. We decided to go check out the new NuMetro Scene. We had to leave early unfortunately but I can say that it was a great experience. The couches were ridiculously comfortable and the food was so delicious that we ended up eating way more than we should’ve. There were some technical issues with the movie we watched but the experience was great nonetheless. Maybe next time we can stay for the whole movie. (Please universe, I beg!)
Anyway, seeing as we were going to the movies I really wanted to do something glow in the dark. Mostly because we would be in the dark. I knew I had to go light colour polish so that the glow would glow at it’s best. This is what I came up with.
I started with 2 coats of Wet n Wild – French White Creme (which I don’t like at all just by the way) on all my nails except thumb and ring. On those I used 2 coats of China Glaze – Passion. I then added a coat of the Essence glow in the dark topcoat over the white and waited for all of that to dry. Once it was completely dry I stamped using China Glaze – Passion and Pueen26. I did also try to stamp with the glow in the dark topcoat on my ring fingers but you will see in a bit that it didn’t really work well. I then top coated it all and off we went.
I bet you’re curious to see how it fared in the dark right?
What do you think? Both of the stamping and the glowing? I must say I had great fun staring at my nails in the dark. As soon as it faded I charged it on the little lights on the tables. Have you tried the glow in the dark topcoat? Have you been to the NuMetro Scene cinema?
Thanks for reading
Lynette

I absolutely love it! The white and gold is my all time favorite combination. And this glowing effect is interesting, too.

Obsessed with glow in the dark nails…so cool! I can, however, never get them to really show up on camera (the glowing part).
Need to get my stamps out, haven’t used them in a looong time!

I actually read a post somewhere where the lady says how she photographs her nails. I will find the link and send it to you on twitter. It might be of use to you 😉
I would LOVE to see you get your stamps out. I am obsessed with stamping. I would only do stamping if I could 😉
