Valentines day: Love notes

Hi lovelies,

So tomorrow is the big day.  Have you made plans yet?  Are you doing something fun with a loved ones or friends?  This is also the second last post that will consist of hearts and pink or red.  😉

I had this idea floating in my head for a while and when I showed it to Thea she pointed me towards this post.  I don’t recall seeing it before but I suspect I did and it stuck in my mind.  So I am giving full credit to Colores de Carol

I started with 2 coats of Sinful Colors – Cool gray**  on all my nails.  Once that was completely dry I stamped using Essence – As long as you love me and BM311.  Then I stamped the hearts using Charlie – Red Lights and an Essence stamping plate.

I really loved the subtle contrast of the grey stamping over the lighter grey base.  I wish the hearts stamped a little better but at least they are still clearly hearts.  I then added a matte topcoat

I definitely loved it a little more mattified.  What do you think?

I know that this isn’t very easy to recreate exactly but there is a way to get a very similar look.  You could use the paper print method to get the writing on the base and make the heart with your dotting tool or toothpick.  Or you could use tape.

**I have assumed this polish is Sinful Colors – Cool Gray because when I bought it it had no name on.  I am becoming more and more uncertain that it is actually cool gray.  If anyone knows what the real name of this polish is or can confirm if it is cool gray I would really appreciate it.  ta,
