Hi lovelies,
I hoe you had a great week. It’s finally weekend. I hope the cool weather lasts through the whole weekend as I have a lot of relaxing planned. Do you have some great weekend plans or just relaxing as well?
I really enjoy these comparisons and I have one for you from Thea from Madness Nails today. Quite an interesting one too. Seeing as I haven’t really showed you the polishes on their own I will show those to you first and then the comparison.
China Glaze – For Audrey
This is 2 coats with no topcoat for this iconic creme. I had great application and great coverage.
China Glaze – Too yacht to handle
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. Also great application and great coverage.
I am sure you can tell these are not exactly the same therefore no dupes but how different (or similar) are they really? Let’s take a look
If I had to describe For Audrey I would call it the perfect tiffany blue colour. Whereas Too yacht to handle I would describe as a bright light blue. In the photo above you can see that they are definitely in the same colour family but TYTH is brighter. I would go so far as to say that TYTH is a brighter version of For Audrey. I found both to be great to work with and both only needed 2 coats so formula wise one isn’t better than the other. If you are prone to very thin coats then TYTH might need 3 coats.
Do you need both? Tough one. If you are looking for a colour from that colour family then I would say you probably don’t need both BUT one is definitely much brighter than the other. On that point alone I would say they are different enough to have both. Paired with the fact that I think everyone needs For Audrey in their collection I would say it is a tough choice for you to make. I am happy to have both 🙂 I am now wondering how TYTH compares to Tip Top – Cha Cha Cha. Anyone else?
What do you think? Do you prefer one over the other? Do you have something you would like me to compare. Let me know and I will be happy to do so.
Thanks for reading,

This is strange. These look very similar, it is easy to say. But if I looked at the colors in the bottles I would never pay the slightest attention to For Audrey and would madly fall in love with Too Yacht to Handle. This is because the second one has a very vibrant addition which to my eyes makes it more of a turquoise color rather than a plain light blue one.
I loved this post 🙂

I completely agree with you. I would never have thought to compare until I was asked. Was quite a surprise. Thank you so much! xx

For Audrey is such a gorgeous, classic colour!
Too Yacht to Handle definitely reminds me of Cha Cha Cha with the greener tone – wonder what they look like side-by-side…

I have been obsessed with getting TYTH for the longest time and it has not let me down I adore the colour but anything Tiffany blue is my down fall so I’m thinking I now need the other as well. Love this post would love to see TYTH and the tip top side by side!
