Hi lovelies,
Today is fake Friday! I don’t know about you but I am very excited about having a long weekend! I hope you have great plans!
I got this Rain hand butter in my #DBNPolishParty goodie bag and it might just be the biggest treat ever.
It is important to note this is a hand butter and not a hand lotion. Therefore, it is a much thicker and richer consistency than a hand lotion and will not absorb into your hands as fast as a lotion. At the same time it is also super moisturising. First, I want to talk about the aloe and avocado part of this butter.
The Aloe (or aloe ferox) has many great qualities. It is a natural anti-bacterial and anti-fungal. It has anti-aging properties and heals and rejuvenates skin. It also softens and smoothes the skin. Those are great properties to have in a hand butter and that is just the aloe part. The avocado oil also has a whole bunch of properties as well. Avocado oil is packed with vitamin E and that is great for rejuvenating dry skin. I am sure you know that vitamin E is great for your skin in general. It is a powerful antioxidant that fights free radicals. Avocado oil also has some natural sun protection and can reduce age spots, wrinkles and fine lines. These are just some of the great properties of the Aloe and Avocado that is in this hand butter.
The consistency of the butter is very smooth and light. Even though it is a butter it doesn’t feel heavy on my skin at all. If I just glide my finger over the top it gives enough to cover my hands and in that quantity it absorbs fairly fast with almost no residue. I prefer to use more and completely cover my hands in the butter and slowly work it into my skin. This will leave a residue and absorb slightly slower but still faster than some lotions I have used. I find my hands to feel a little ‘oily’ (but it doesn’t look it) so I prefer to use this butter at night or with my gloves on for 15 minutes or so. It really leaves my hands feeling soft and hydrated for the longest time.
I also use this on my cuticles. When I glide my fingers across the butter it picks up a small enough amount to rub into my cuticles. This leaves my cuticles soft and supple. This makes pushing back my cuticles a breeze as well.
This butter is amazing! I absolutely love how soft and hydrated it leaves my hands. I also really love the natural – slightly floral – smell of it. I have been using this hand butter daily since December and I have just under half of my container left. That is amazing value for money. You can put money on the fact that I will be repurchasing this. Without a doubt! I can also highly recommend it. Just remember, this is a hand butter, not a hand lotion. There is a hand lotion available as well (which I do have and will tell you about soon)
You can purchase the Aloe & Avocado hand butter from any of their stores or online for R75 or the hand lotion for R95.
Have you tried any of the Aloe & Avocado products yet?

I need a product like this so much! Oil formulas just do not do the hydration miracle for me but only mess everything up in grease…

I can definitely highly recommend this one. They have an international online store so check it out. I have used the hand lotion in the same range and I am obsessed.

I must agree with you! I got this in my goodie bag that I won from #DBNPolishParty and it has been one of my favourites. I really love it, everything you said above it true. For me it is much more moisturizing than hand lotion and I love using it on my cuticles. It is right up there with cuticle oil and Lemony Flutter for me. Will DEFINITELY repurchase!
