Hi lovelies,
Did you have a good weekend? I sure did. I got to spend some time doing me stuff.I also can’t believe it’s downhill to the end of July. I really need to say that because it feels like I say that every month. Let me get on with it and get to the nails.
I have been wanting to do a waterfall like The Nailasaurus based on her tutorial. It’s no secret that I am not very skilled in freehand – especially working with stripers or brushes – so I was really nervous to try it. I didn’t exactly nail it but I actually really liked it. I do think it looks much better looking at it on my hands than it does so close up on a photo but hey 😉 Let me show you,
I started off with a base of 2 coats of China Glaze – Light as air. Once that was completely dry I used a nail art brush and alternated with 4 different colours. The colours I used were: China Glaze – Tart-y for the party, China Glaze – Gothic Lolita, China Glaze – Harmony and OPI – Love.Angel.Music.Baby. Topcoated and done.
I can see exactly what I did wrong and I tried to fix it as I went along but somehow my hands just don’t work the way I tell it to 😛 I have since gotten a new brush to try with and I know that if I practice more it will get easier. *sigh*. So, I have some ideas and some new tools. I am definitely going to try this again!
What do you think of my first try though? Have any tips on how to get my hands to work?
Thanks for reading,
Siobhan
No is very pretty! You did a good job

Thanks V. It’s not nearly as good as yours but I do love the colours 🙂

I think it’s pretty amazing for a first try! I’m scared to try this technique, lol.

Thanks Lesley, I thought so too but I wish it came out better. I suck at working with a brush 😉
