31DC2014 Day 01: Red nails

Hi lovelies,

Did you have a good weekend?  It has been absolutely freezing and windy here which was a good excuse to stay indoors snuggling.  Things are going to get super busy from today onwards so let’s just get straight to it shall we? 

Alrighty, so this starts today

I hope you are ready?  I am excited and nervous at the same time.  I mentioned on Friday that I will still continue with Tuesday Stamping and I have some other stuff coming as well so there might be some double posting happening during the next month.  Hold on to your seats!

Let’s go with red.  From the minute I decided to do this challenge I knew which polish I wanted to use for today.

China Glaze – Ruby pumps.

This is 2 coats with no topcoat.  This is just so gorgeous I can’t even.  So I knew what polish I wanted to use but I had no idea what to do.  I also knew I should start the challenge slowly and simply so that I don’t try to do too much.  I opted for

A red and black french.  I started with 2 coats of China Glaze – Ruby pumps and when that was completely dry I taped off my tips and used Sinful Colors – Black on black for the french tip. Topcoated and that was it.  I have been wanting to do this combination for ages but I thought it might be a bit ‘boring’.  I actually really loved it.
