31DC2014 Day 18: Half moons

Hi lovelies,

I hope you’re having a good week.  I will be spending today in the pool or in aircon! I hope you’re keeping cool if you also have high temps.

Half moons.  I can honestly say half moons are not my favourite thing ever.  I have seen many people make it look amazing but I just don’t find it pretty on me.  Soooo let me show you what I did.

I started with 2 coats of Color Club – Miss bliss.  When that was completely dry I taped off my half moons and then added a Essence – Black is back.  I removed the tape immediately after doing each nail.  I top coated and left that to dry completely.  Once it was dry I stamped using Miss Bliss again and Pueen26.  Topcoat and done.  The holo half-moons didn’t pick up too well because all the layers of topcoat dulled it.  I could’ve waited for the holo to ‘perk up’ a bit before taking photos but to be honest I just didn’t have that kind of time.  I wanted to make it look like the dangly bits were hanging down from the half moons.  I then thought about adding 1 or 2 rhinestones but I wasn’t sure if it looked better with or without. What do you think?

So that’s about it for me and half moons.  I am sure there will be tons of amazing creative ideas coming out today and I will definitely be trying them out in future 🙂 What do you think of these?
