31DC2014 Day 27: Inspired by artwork

Hi lovelies,

It’s the weekend and I am trying to catch up with life.  So I am just getting to straight to it.

This might be the prompt I was most nervous about.  Artwork to me meant freehand and I am just not ready for that.  A few weeks ago I was going through my drawer of decals and I found these Marilyn Monroe decals from LuckyStarStyle.  I wish I had bought the number 3 variety but instead I had the number 4.  When I saw it though I immediately though of Andy Warhol and I thought I could make it work. Now before I show you the nails, I am very aware that I took the easy way out.  I’m exhausted and skill challenged.  I refuse to give up though so these last few days will really be me sliding through by the skin of my teeth.  Bare with me please.  Ok, onto the nails.

Starting at my index I used 2 coats of Essence – Fame fatal, on my middle I used 2 coats of Essence – Let’s go lost, On my ring I used 2 coats of Essence – Flashy pumpkin and on my pinky I used 2 c oats of Essence – Do you speak love?.  When that was all completely dry I applied a decal to each nail.  Unfortunately I got a few air bubbles on my pinky.  Topoated and done.  I feel a little meh about this.  I am annoying myself for not doing more.  I am not even going to ask what you think 😉  I will say, it was bright and colourful.  That’s a plus.
