Hi lovelies,
It’s the weekend!!! Well almost. I hope you’ve had a great week but an even better weekend. Do you have any plans? It’s our last #BWB metope for the year and we are doing a secret santa / gift exchange. I am super nervous and excited.
When I saw Adventures in Acetone tutorial for the pond manicure and her many versions of it, I knew I wanted to try one too. I kept putting it off but I finally found a perfect time to do one. It’s only a simple ‘pond’ dotticure but I can guarantee I will be doing this again, often! Let me show you.
I started off with 1 coat of OPI – Funny bunny (a white jelly). I knew it would take many layers so I didn’t want to start off with too many. Once that first layer was dry I used 3 different size dotting tools and 2 colours: Essence – Fame fatal (red), Essence – The green and the grunge (green) and Sinful Colors – Snow me white (white). I made a dot of each colour in different sizes on each nail and then left that to dry a little. I then added one coat of funny bunny again and left that to dry. I then went in again with the dots in different places and another coat of funny bunny. If I remember correctly I did about 4 layers of these dots ending with funny bunny. I then added just a few dots of colour on top. Topcoat and done.
I actually really like this. What do you think? It’s something a little different for Christmas time yet totally suitable don’t you think? I’d love to see what you have on your nails this festive season. Please share with me on Facebook, twitter or Instagram.

So very gorgeous! I would probably have to do something like this when I’m on leave alone at home. All the drying time in between would not work for me otherwise. I DO want to try it now though!
