Comparison: China Glaze – Ruby pumps vs China Glaze – Just be-claws

Did you have a good weekend?  I had the best time on Saturday with the #BWB girls.  As usual I laughed till I ached and had great conversations.  Simply the best. 

I got China Glaze – Just be-claws from acidicice as a birthday gift and around the sane time I got China Glaze – Ruby pumps.  Before this, acidicice and I had many conversations wondering how similar – or not – the two actually were.  So today I am finally comparing the two.

 

This is 2 coats of China Glaze – Ruby pumps on my pinky and index and 2 coats of China Glaze – Just be-claws on my middle and ring. All of these without topcoat.  I think the difference between my pinky and ring finger is the most accurate as far as colour difference is concerned.  Ruby pumps is a little more deeper red than just be-claws.  For me, Just be-claws is slightly more orange toned but this is only obvious when they are next to each other.  Both of them have a sparkle but Ruby pumps is packed with red glitter in a red base.  Just be-claws has a red sparkle but for ME it looks like a gold toned red.  When I remove it, it looks like here is a hint of gold.  Both have really great formula and opacity.

These are obviously not dupes.  Do you need both?  I am inclined to say yes but this shouldn’t come as a surprise.  If you are someone that thinks red polish is red polish then you probably don’t need both but they are definitely different.  Go on, get both!
