Hi lovelies,
Yay, 2 posts in one day! It’s hard following up on the previous post when it is that amazing but here we go!
I got a few more goodies from Born Pretty Store to review and one of them is this stamping plate. I’ve mentioned before that Born Pretty Store is one of my favourite places to get my nail art supplies. Their stamping plates just continue to impress me as well. This plate is BP-L 006 an you can find it here (or click on the image)
I don’t think there is one image on this plate that I don’t immediately want to use. I did however have an idea that I knew I wanted to do first. I was inspired by Project Runway (season 13) and the outfit Kini made in the American Doll challenge – episode 9.
I really like the patterns and the combination of colours. Let me show you what I did.
I used Sinful Colors – Snow me white on my pinky and index and when it was dry I tape it vertically and made a small edge of each nail red using Sinful Colors – ruby ruby. On my ring and middle fingers I used Sinful Colors – Ruby ruby. When it was all dry I went ahead and stamped the plaid image on all my nails. Topcoated everything and done. In hindsight, I wish I had turned the image just slightly on my index and pinky to get the slight variance in pattern that Kini had between the white and red plaid.
Of course, with all these images at my disposal I couldn’t just use the one. So I did this too.
Born Pretty Store also sent me the black stamping polish and I was eager to give it a try. I started with 2 coats of Sinful Colors – Black on black on my index and pinky and left that to dry. On my ring and middle I used 2 coats of China Glaze – Dance baby and left that to dry. When everything was dry I stamped the zig zag pattern on my ring finger and the chevron image on my middle. I then topcoated everything and used 3 square pastel pink studs on the black.
The black stamping polish worked really well. I had no problems with it at all. I would maybe have liked it if it was a bit more super black BUT I realised afterwards that I never gave it a good shake and I am pretty sure after all that time in the mail it probably just needed that. I will definitely use it again and let you know.
This stamping plate is so amazing! The whole plate (metal part) is 12cm x 6 cm big and it has a pink plastic base. This base is about half a centimetre bigger than the metal plate all around. It does make it easier to handle. Each full nail image is 2cm long and 1.5cm wide. That is really nice and big! The plate is also perfectly etched and it was a breeze to pick up the images. I am also in love with every image on the plate and as I mentioned I already have ideas for each one. I am super super impressed with this plate.
If you want to grab this plate for yourself (or any of the others) don’t forget you can use my 10% off code as shown below. This code will always be in my sidebar as well as my affiliate link so click on “go buy” and save!
What do you think of this plate? Which image would you use first and what would you do?
