Happy Monday! Did you have a good weekend? My Saturday didn’t go quite as planned but at least had a relaxing Sunday. What did you get up to?
It’s valentines day this weekend so of course it is time for some valentine nail art. Last year I might have gone a little crazy so I decided to wait till this week for it and not smother you all in valentine 😛 Let me show you what I came up with.
I started with 2 coats of Essence – Free hugs on all my nails. When that was dry I used striping tape and Essence – Happy end to make the stripes on my pinky and ring finger. While I left those all to dry I was also waiting for my decals to dry. I made the hearts decals by using BM317 and Essence stampy polish in black. I then used Essence – A hint of love and Essence – Do you speak love? with a small brush to fill in the hearts. Some of the hearts have the shimmery red (a hint of love) and some just have the red creme (do you speak love?). When it was done I applied it over the pink and stripes using topcoat. Then I topcoated everything. I actually really liked the red hearts over the pink. Especially the shimmery red.

I like the shimmery hearts over the pink. Nothing wrong with the stripes, I just like how it’s almost cartoony/3D. 😉
Thanks Lesley! I think I agree with you. At first I thought the stripes would add a little something but afterwards I thought I should’ve left them all pink.

This is stunning! I actually like the hearts over the plain pink the most, but the mani as a whole is gorgeous! I am totally jelly of your decal making skills.

Thanks so much. I think I agree with you. I originally thought the stripes would be a nice addition but they kinda get lost and I prefer the plain pink too. I should’ve made the hearts red and the darker pink in the decals. Hahaha thanks, keep trying 😉
