*Blogger of the Month* Introducing: Because I can

Hi lovelies,

Happy easter! I hope you are having a wonderful and relaxing long weekend!

I am very excited to for this months “Blogger of the Month’.  Because I can is part of the Nail Anarchy clan and even though she doesn’t JUST blog about nail art she is so super creative and comes up with really fantastic combinations.

 

 

• Please tell us more about yourself and your blog

I am a 40ish momsy/stepmomsy to 5 crazy hoodlums, married to a very patient and tolerant man who deserves medals and whatnot.

By day, I snap on the spandex and rescue the world from bad tea and disastrous website designs. By night I can be found washing my spandex while listening to the testosterone fueled adolescents rough house and have fart wars.

•  How did you get into polish?

I have always loved doing my nails, found it as a great way to express myself. In the beginning, I would visit salons and either do porn star nails with bling or go outrageous with bright colours.

I found this was too limiting and started to do my own thing at home , experimenting with nail art as I grew in confidence.

•  What is your own favourite kind of nail art / swatch that you’ve done?

I love to draw hearts, in fact before I was able to master *koff* stamping, free hand art was STILL IS my favourite thing to do. I like the ability to draw and create.

•  What is your favourite kind of nail art / technique?

In general, I love simple and clean nail art. I always find myself coming back to glitter gradients and stamped manicures.

• What technique gives you grey hairs? Which one can you just not master or is your least favourite?

I am really loving stamping at the moment. Oh, and water marbling.

•  How do you get your nail time on? (Work at night, early in the morning etc)

I do my nails mostly on weekends (early in the morning while everyone sleeps) when I am undisturbed, or during loadshedding.. hahahaha!

•  What has been your proudest moment so far?

My DA nail I did, all impromptu like.. It was liked and shared a gazillion times (this is a true stat)

•  Most embarrassing nail moment or nail fail? (feel free to show us)

So many, how do I choose? Instagram is full of my blunders.. go wild 🙂

•  What polish would you sell your soul for?

A delicious pink with tutu accent and a tiara encrusted lid named ‘Briget’ – made by OPI. This polish does not exist yet, but who knows what happens next week? They have my email.

•  What is your favourite snack while doing your nails?

Chocolate 😛

•  Which cartoon character do you relate to most?

Wile E Coyote

•  The only polish colours in front of you are black, electric blue and neon orange. What do you do and what do you use – and why?

Night sky , hazard lines and headlights come to mind. I would do a midnight road hazard type artwork. It would be EPIC. …mostly just becauseIcan.

•  Compare your favourite tv / movie crush with a polish and why?

Peter Capaldi and China Glaze – Dorothy who?

… because Doctor WHO!!

•  If you could create your own custom polish, what would it be and what would it be named?

See Number 10, it is all very razzmatazz and on the TODO list. There are talks, albeit I am the only one talking and OPI are still ignoring..
