Please tell us more about yourself and your blog
Hi! I’m Megan aka MamaZombie. I’m mother to two daughters, slave to six cats and pooper scooper to a dog. I’m nail polished obsessed, devoted to my My Little Pony collection and all about having enough fun before I’m old. My blog reflects my all over the show geeky self and I write about anything that can hold my attention for more than a few minutes 🙂

How did you get into polish?
It’s all your fault Michelle! HAHA! Well, it actually started WAY back in the 90’s when I remember painting my nails all sorts of colours (except pink) over weekends (No polish allowed at school). Then I won a polish hamper from Michelle, with a dotting tool and some tape and the rest, as they say, is history!

What is your own favourite kind of nail art / swatch that you’ve done?
Oh that’s easy. It’s definitely the zombie mani I did when I was let loose in The Mani Cave Of Awesome. It’s not often that something turns out exactly how I thought it would and this mani did!

What is your favourite kind of nail art / technique?
That’s easy. I love dots. I could wear dotticures every day of the week. That said, I also loooove splattering!

What technique gives you grey hairs? Which one can you just not master or is your least favourite?
Does striping tape count as a technique? Frak I hate the stuff. It never does what it’s supposed to and it’s just a bitch to work with. I would rather take my chances with freehanding than bust out the striping tape.

How do you get your nail time on? (Work at night, early in the morning etc)
- Whenever the spawn are asleep, so usually at night or when Emma naps during the weekend.
What has been your proudest moment so far?
Proudest moment? Any time someone who does proper nail art compliments me! I feel like such a rank amateur that anytime people say my stuff is good I’m all like “OMG they love me, they really love me!!”

Would you share your ‘nail station’ with us? Show us where the magic happens
My nail station is the dining room table! Before we moved it was the lounge floor, so this is a real step up lol.

Most embarrassing nail moment or nail fail? (feel free to show us)
Oh my gosh, so many of my early mani’s. It’s like I’d never heard of clean up before. I wish I’d never shared some of those! One of the ones that sticks out as particularly shyte is this one I did for the MTV challenge. It’s horrific.

What polish would you sell your soul for?
A England! Hands down! Have you SEEN the Gothic Beauties collection? I could just die.

What is your favourite snack while doing your nails?
Snack? Does wine count as a snack? Occasionally I change it up and drink scotch…

Which cartoon character do you relate to most?
Um. Marg Simpson?

The only polish colours in front of you are black, electric blue and neon orange. What do you do and what do you use – and why?
I would probably sponge on the blue and black and then dot or splat over with the orange or I would paint the blue as base and then to multi layered dots in orange and black over OR do colour blocking…

Compare your favourite tv / movie crush with a polish and why?
It’s no secret my tv crush is Jax Teller. He is perfection on a Harley. Oh how I miss Sons of Anarchy. Naturally I’m going to mention Kangol Leather effect polish here, because bikers and leather go together like Scotch and chocolate. It’s also one of my favorite polishes!

If you could create your own custom polish, what would it be and what would it be named?
Oh, that’s a difficult one. First thought would be something amazingly My Little Pony themed, but Dollish Polish has that corner of the market nailed down. Maybe it would be an oxblood (Doc Marten Oxblood) or a deep blood red with black and red micro glitter/shimmer? Would that work? I would probably call it Gore Shimmer.
