Hi lovelies,
Happy Wednesday! I am so excited about todays post. It’s a comparison from July Blogger of the Month, acidicice. Not only was I excited about what she was comparing but also because this might actually be her first comparison post!
Hi everyone! Since I am Blogger of the Month here on Michelle’s blog *puffs chest* I decided not to be a slacker and to do another guest post. A while ago I used essence space queen for a design on my blog and Michelle and I briefly discussed how pretty is and I wondered out loud how it would compare to China Glaze Fairy Dust. Michelle said “I look forward to seeing your comparison” and when I was thinking about what to do for a guest post, this sprung to mind! I’ve never done a comparison post before. I *try* not to buy dupes, but space queen was a gift so I plead innocence this time around! Let’s get to it!
Shown above is one coat of each over black. My index and ring nails show off Fairy Dust and my middle and pinkie are space queen. Both of these are holographic glitter toppers suspended in a clear base and the formula on both is perfect. As you can see from the photos space queen contains larger glitter than Fairy Dust and therefore picks up the light easily and the sparkle is easy to see in most lights. Space queen flashes a lot of blue and green, but also other colours when turning your nails underneath the light. Fairy Dust sparkles in the sunlight and flashes all the colours of the rainbow 🙂 Both of these have a place in my collection. I prefer to use Fairy Dust over nail art. Since the glitter is very small, it doesn’t obscure what is underneath, while adding something special. Space queen is more likely to cover up what is underneath, but not completely as you can see when I used it in the post referenced above.
I hope that you enjoyed this comparison. Thanks again, Michelle, for having me over on your blog as Blogger of the Month! It has been awesome being here 😀

Oh my goodness, how beautiful are these toppers? I definitely agree that even though they might be similar in concept they are definitely different enough to own both. What do you think?
Don’t forget to show acidicice some love. This is her last post here as this months Blogger of the Month but it definitely won’t be her last post here at all! You can find her here:

I’ve never seen that Essence topper before but it looks great. Fairy Dust of course is a staple in my stash. Thanks for the comparison, even though I now want Space Queen 😉
